Frederik Rye-Florentz
The company is led by Frederik Rye-Florentz, an experienced shipowner and investment professional with a proven track-record.
His blend of investment management skills, industry knowledge and operational experience provides us with a unique and holistic perspective across sectors of the shipping industry.
He spun out from the KKR-backed shipping investment company Borealis Maritime, which he co-founded in 2010 and that built a fleet of more than 70 vessels. While at Borealis, Frederik was the lead partner in over 30 acquisitions between 2010 and 2017. As part of this process, he sourced several proprietary deals from European banks, which turned out to be very successful investments and a key part of building the foundation and the track-record of Borealis. He has been particularly active in the chemical and product tanker market.
Frederik, CFA, holds a BA in Economics from Augustana University, MSc in Shipping Trade and Finance at Cass Business School and a MBA with distinction from University of Oxford.
Miklagard S Ship Management
Miklagard S is a subsidiary of RFOcean establish by RFOcean and its partners in Istanbul. The team focuses on operation, technical and crew management of chemical tankers and product tankers. The team is one of the most reputable technical teams in Turkey with a 15-year track-record of technical management of tankers for among others Shell, Total and BP.
The team is led by Tayfun Bozoglu and comprise a team of 10 which includes ex. Masters, Chief Engineers and Naval Architects.
